Our green oak porch kit gives a front door the full porch treatment: solid oak posts, a proper pitched roof and traditional joinery throughout. We make each kit to order in our Lincolnshire workshop, with a two week build time.
A porch like this does more than look good. It shelters the door, gives you somewhere to shake off a wet coat, and lifts the whole front of the house.
The kit costs £2,150 for a single standard UK door. Larger porches can be priced, so just ask.
Those sizes suit most entrances. If yours is different, send us your measurements and we will quote for a made to measure version. Every kit uses the same mortise and tenon joinery we put into our bespoke work.
For the best results, have the porch fitted by us (fitting is an additional cost) or by a tradesman. The frame arrives cut and jointed, so an experienced DIYer can also take it on. Most porches at this size fall within permitted development, though it is worth checking with your local authority first.
Green oak is freshly sawn timber. It will settle and check a little as it seasons, which is normal and part of its charm. Left alone it weathers to a soft silver grey, or you can oil it to keep the golden colour.
